  • KIDWARE

    • KIDWARE® is an early learning curriculum that uses computers to help children learn to read. Students apply skills of phonics, decoding and automaticity as they read, write, and record their own stories. An award-winning, interactive computer software program, KIDWARE was designed to stimulate your child's creativity and problem solving abilities. Teachers can easily customize the computer experiences for students at a variety of learning level. KIDWARE correlates to state/local curriculum objectives and is easily integrated into all classroom learning areas. KIDWARE is available in bilingual English/Spanish, English/Vietnamese or English/Finnish to support your ESL students.  

  • Writing to Read 

    • WTR is a multimedia, computer-based program implemented in a literacy rich, learning center environment. At the Computer center, cycle words teach young children sound/letter relationships. Other centers support and encourage children to practice these associations using a variety of different activities, including work journals, manipulatives, books and writing.

  • Write Along

    • Write Along is a multi-dimensional word processor and draw program designed especially for young students in grades K-3. Write Along gives students the opportunity to express their ideas and thoughts and provides text-to-speech feedback on their writing. The program provides multiple levels of support as students develop their understanding of written language as a means of communication 

  • Stories and More I and Stories and More II

    • The Stories and More Series combines a wide variety of children's literature in the collection of on-line stories. Related "before" and "after" reading activities accompany the unit or theme stories to help readers comprehend and enjoy what they have read.Write Along is a multi-dimensional word processor and draw program designed especially for young students in grades K-3. Write Along gives students the opportunity to express their ideas and thoughts and provides text-to-speech feedback on their writing. The program provides multiple levels of support as students develop their understanding of written language as a means of communication.  
  • TLC Math

    • TLC Mathematics is a series of three instructional software products that let teachers and students discover mathematical concepts together. Each product contains a collection of software activities and curriculum materials created for the respective grade levels. The software activities for TLC Mathematics were drawn from Exploring Measurement, Time and Money, Exploring Mathematics with Manipulatives, Exploring Math Concepts and SchoolVista Mathematics.

  • K-Science

    • This guide, written by Joan Pickard, a Kindergarten teacher in Pensacola, Florida, combines Reading and Science software into a thematic approach to integrating scientific lessons into reading lessons drawn from classic children's literature. Eight stories from Stories and More 1 are used to introduce mathematics concepts.  The guide includes lessons using the Nature of Science Through the Woods and At the Seashore software, whole group instruction, games, small group activities, and blackline masters for offline activities.  Stories and More 1 and Nature of Science are sold separately.

  • Math and More

    • The Math and More mathematics curriculum builds upon this knowledge with learning activities that connect mathematical ideas to students own interests, neighborhoods, family and cultural backgrounds. The curriculum also builds upon leading-edge research, supporting the content areas identified by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) as needing increased attention in primary grades: Patterns and relationships, Geometry, and Probability and Statistics.

  • Star Express Series

    • The Star Express Series is a collection of programs for grades 3 - 6 that offer a thematic, interdisciplinary approach to teaching. The collection includes The Honeybee, The Storyteller, and Blue Jeans and provides lessons and activities for language arts, science, math, social studies, art, music, and drama. Oriented around exploratory video, with comprehensive hypertext information and teachers guide, these products are ideal for cross-curricular instruction using the interactive technology of multimedia.

  • Nature of Science

    • Developed jointly by IBM and the Children’s Television Workshop, The Nature of Science emphasizes the constructivist approach of “doing science” through hands-on inquiry, investigation, and communication.  While teaching science processes and content, the Nature of Science reinforces students’ reading, writing and mathematics skills.
